I have a network shared drive that is shared through my router using SMB protocol. I also have a raspberry pi as a secondary backup connected to the network that once a week backs up the network drive contents to it's local attached storage. Is there a way to query status's of network hdd for what power state they are in (ie. idle/active...)? I know there are tools hdparm and sdparm that I have used but does not look to support network storage devices.
