Google today released the latest Android 12 beta for Pixel phones, and that includes the recently unveiled Pixel 5a 5G. This is the version of the candidate for the issue, and therefore the next update will be the official release. According to Google, the version comes with bug fixes and adds finishing touches to the OS. Here’s what’s new in Android 12 beta 5:
Android 12 Beta 5 released
“We ask all application and game developers to complete your final compatibility testing and publish compatibility updates before the final release. For SDK developers, libraries, tools and games, it’s important to release compatible updates as soon as possible. ” says Dave Burke, vice president of Android engineering in a blog post.
The main change with Android 12 Beta 5 must be the availability of materials you design in system applications like Google Clock and Calculator. You also get redesigned Sat widgets in this beta. Check out the redesigned Clock, Calculator, and Clock widgets in the image gallery below:
Another change in beta 5 is the new widget for Easter Egg Paint Chips. You can unlock the widget after setting the clock in the Easter egg at 12:00. The widget displays the colors generated by the theme-based theme launcher, and you can easily copy or share the color code.
In addition to these, there are minor shifts in the positioning of the clock on the lock screen and the At a Glance widget. With this upgrade on Pixel phones, you also get a universal search feature on your device.
