Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro with Intel and AMD processors launched in India

After recently launching the gaming-focused IdeaPad Gaming 3i (2021) in India, Lenovo today launched its new slim and lightweight laptop, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro. The laptop is the successor to the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i (review) introduced last year in India, and is offered with Intel and AMD processor configurations.

Before we move on to the price and availability of the IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro in India, let’s take a brief look at the key specifications and features of the laptop.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro introduced in India

Design and display

Starting with the design, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro looks quite similar to its predecessor. The device comes with a clean design, which means there are no major brands on the cover. Only the subtle Lenovo logo is located in the lower right corner of the cover. The 14-inch variant is only 17.9 mm thin and weighs about 1.8 kg. The 16-inch model, on the other hand, is 18.4 mm thick and weighs 1.9 kg.

Coming to the screen, Lenovo offers the IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro in two variants — a 14-inch model and a 16-inch model. The 14-inch variant has a 2.2K IPS LCD panel, while the 16-inch model has a WQXGA IPS board. The first has a maximum brightness of 300 nits, and the 16-inch variant has a top brightness of 350 nits. However, both screens come with narrow bezels, a 16:10 aspect ratio and support for a 100% sRGB color gamut. The highest model has a screen that supports a refresh rate of 120Hz, while the lower models support a refresh rate of 60Hz.

Under the hood, the IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro contains up to 11th generation Intel Core i7 processors or up to AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processors. For graphics processing, users can choose between Nvidia GeForce, Intel Iris XE or AMD Radeon GPU. The laptop also has up to 16 GB of 3200MHz DDR4 RAM and up to 512 GB of SSD storage. Battery and other smart features

In terms of battery life, the lower IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro models have an integrated 56.5 Wh battery, while the highest model with the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 has a larger 75 Wh battery.

In addition to these, the device comes with a variety of smart features, such as auto-on and face recognition features via Windows Hello. In terms of audio performance, the IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro has two user-facing speakers that support Dolby Atmos. What’s more, there are two-string microphones on the device that allow users to access Microsoft’s Cortana or Amazon’s Alexa. In addition, with support for Alexa, users will be able to manage a variety of smart home devices using voice commands via a laptop. What’s more, the laptop comes with a large trackpad, backlit keyboard and improved ergonomics for a comfortable user experience. Powered by Windows 10 Home OS without a box, which can be upgraded to Windows 11.

Price and availability

Now, turning to the price of Lenovo’s latest laptop, the IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro starts at Rs. 77,990 in India. It comes in Storm Gray color and is currently available for purchase at Lenovo.com, Flipkart, Amazon and offline stores nationwide.
